My husband and I were getting ready for a date night this weekend (we need to be reminded of what dinner without a toddler is like every once in awhile) and got to talking about how clothing for men is so much, for lack of a better word, easier than it is for women.
I’m not complaining, I know for myself one of the best parts about being a girl are the clothes, omg I could look at clothes all day. It’s just that I always find myself feeling pressure to update, buy another dress, buy a piece that’s the latest trend, etc. It gets overwhelming and it’s not exactly budget friendly. Enter: the little black romper. It’s like the little black dresses cheeky cousin. So cute and flirty and the best part, you won’t look dated wearing it from season to season. I purchased this one from Loft last year and have probably worn this more times than I can remember.
I wanted to spice it up a little (well for me, anyway) so I brought out my red Sam Edelman pumps and favorite red lipstick. For another accessory, I threw on a boater hat. I love the shape of these hats and it just gives the outfit that little something extra. This is a look that’s easy to wear for a summer date night outfit- bonus points for being classic and timeless!
