I got so many nice comments on instagram when I posted these boxwood and lavender mini Christmas wreaths, I wanted to show you exactly how to make them.

I used mine as place settings for this Christmas brunch tablescape, but they are great little decorations with lots of uses. These would look so cute tied onto gift boxes! Some of you even mentioned wanting to make these for your kids and that is such a great idea! Below are the instructions on how to make mini Christmas wreaths as well as where to find the supplies used.

I gathered clippings from what I had in my yard. Boxwood and lavender worked great but but if you don’t have that, so would pine and holly or most evergreens. Start by snipping a small piece of each and attaching them to the ring with floral wire.

Continue to add two pieces at a time as you go along the wreath. I add my next bunch to the previous and wire those together onto the ring (less wiring this way). Trim excess wire as needed. Note: I didn’t take the time to hide the wire in my wreaths on some of these because I was in a hurry. If you wrap your wire underneath and in between leaves, they will be much less visible.

Once you make it around, see if you need to fill in any spaces. Wire on small pieces where you need more volume.

Once you’re finished, you could add a bow or a bit of ribbon. I love how small and darling these are, they look like little halo’s.

You can find all the materials I used in this post to create these mini Christmas wreaths below. I used the 3″ rings for these mini wreaths and they are the perfect size for gift toppers or place settings. I think the 5″ ring or 7″ ring would make a great size for small personalized wreaths!
