The Best Home Decor (and more!) of the Anniversary Sale

Today is the first day the Nordstrom Anniversary sale opens to the public and this means 3 things:

1. We can all now shop the deals.

2. Some key items will be restocked.

3. Those items (and more) will sell out fast!

(You can see my try-ons from the sale here! These are all great pieces whether you have a bump or not.)

I’ve had my eye on a few key home decor items from the sale, while a couple of these items I already have or are very similar to decor that I use in my home. Personally, I always pick up one or two items that I’ve wanted throughout the year or something that may need updated (like a new throw for the sofa or fresh candles).

Also included below are my top beauty buys, must have baby essentials and top picks for a little boy (pretty much what I bought for my son).

Home Decor Must Haves:

Some of these pieces I already own or are very similar to things I already use throughout the year. I love all the texture offered here and the neutral palette works for just about any space! There was a similar footstool in the sale last year and it sold out before I could get it, so if you have your eye one it don’t wait!

Beauty Must Haves:

This year I stocked up on a bunch of great shower items and picked up some of my favorite beauty items that I go through throughout the year. I swear by the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz (I use the color ‘taupe’ and use about 3 a year) and the beauty blenders (love that this comes with a case and a cleaner, needed both). Another item I got last year that I loved is the Impressions Makeup Mirror! This has been life changing (I always ended up sitting in front of my floor length mirror to do my makeup) and the little tray keeps essentials in place.

The Living Proof shampoo and conditioner along with the Herbivore set has already sold out, but I have them linked just in case they are restocked for the second half of the sale. I’ve included 2 of my other favorite hair brands that are in stock which would have been my alternate picks. If you don’t need too many things my advice if you only buy one thing from beauty, make it the Philosophy Purity face wash! This could last you over a year (especially if you use other face washes periodically) and is my favorite for washing off makeup.

Baby Must Haves:

So now that we are back in baby mode, I’m already thinking of what we can re-use and what needs updated or replaced. Things have changed so much since my first baby! For instance, these baby monitors are next level compared to what we had. Also have had my eye on diaper bags since my first one was pretty beat up. And if I didn’t already have a high chair I would be snagging the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair while it’s on sale. We used a bugaboo stroller with our first that is still in perfect condition and I loved it, never had any issues with it and found it very maneuverable and easy to pack and unpack on my own. This one here comes with a bassinet and that is the one thing I wish I had on mine!

Another major baby item that needs replaced, did you know that car seats expire? Apparently the foam on the interior can begin to deteriorate and lose strength after awhile. So I’ve found myself looking at baby car seats again and have been reading about the Rava and Maxi-Cosi brands which are part of the sale!

Little Boy Must Haves:

Every year I get Adoni the Tucker + Tate denim jacket from the sale (and every year he out grows it!) plus I always pick him up a few pairs of joggers and sneakers, too. My favorite brands for little boys that I look out for here are Stem, Tucker + Tate, Adidas, Nike and Puma.
