What’s in my bag? The essentials.

what's in my bag - Zoe With Love

After lugging around a diaper bag for over a year, the last thing I’ve wanted to do is overload my everyday bag with things I’m not going to use. We’ve grown out of the diaper bag so I’m able to get away with bringing a lot less with us when we go out. If you have a classic Louis Vuitton speedy, they have a nice large interior that has been the perfect size for me right now.

FYI: There was a kids snack included in this, but some sneaky hands got to them before I could take the photo. These Annie’s Bunnies are our favorite.

What's in My Bag - Tech and Entertainment

This gorgeous floral iphone case by artist Katie Jobling (more prints here) has given my phone the spring update it needed, it’s based on this painting! Of course, an ipad is amazing for everything from kids educational games and movies, to emails and work, although my son always gets first dibs on it. This hanging case is my favorite for when he’s using it! I’ve also started writing things down more in an effort not to forget things, and reverted back to using an actual planner instead of just my phone. It’s really made a difference!

For entertainment, I try to bring a book (we love this silly pigeon series) and some sort of toy cars or trains… anything with wheels really. I love how hot wheels are small enough to fit in just about any bag.

What's in My Bag - Diapers

I’ve tried a lot of brands of wipes, and even though the Honest ones are more expensive, they are so worth it in me eyes. There’s no sticky residue and my son doesn’t break out when I use these on his face. And the diapers? They are worth it if just for the prints alone. I’m also a fan of their mini hand sanitizer for icky situations.

What's in My Bag - H2O

This S’well bottle (see more here) was a gift from this Christmas, and I’ve been drinking more water because of it. I love that the water stays cold all day long. For toddlers, if you’re searching for a great no spill sippy cup that won’t have mold issues then this one is really amazing. It helps teach how to use a grown up cup, and all the pieces are easily detached and washable so you don’t have to worry about it not being clean!

What's in My Bag - The Beauty Essentials

For casual outings and errands, I typically just carry a few beauty items. A dark pair of sunglasses (these cheap ones have been my go-to for years) to hide some tired eyes and lip balm. I don’t like to wear too much on my lips during the day because I literally kiss my son’s cheeks 100 times-ish daily and don’t want to get anything on him. If i’m feeling fancy I’ll add some lipstick. I’ve talked about my fave before here, I love that it’s so sheer, it’s replaced my lipgloss.
