Today we are talking about short girl problems. Standing at 5’1 I’ve always had issues with maxi dresses being too long. Typically, I throw on my highest heels and sometimes still have the problem of the dress sweeping the floor. Nowadays chasing a toddler around, there are times that I just want to be in flats, and a maxi is a quick option that helps me look put together. Eshakti was recently nice enough to let me pick out a dress from them. If you haven’t heard of this company, it’s an online clothing boutique that you can have custom sizes and even custom dresses made (these range from size 0-36, or with totally custom measurements). So I took this opportunity to try out a custom length maxi dress.

You might be thinking, “Why don’t you just get your dresses hemmed if they are too long, Miss Lazy-Pants?” Well for some I can, but others like this scalloped and embroidered hem, I wouldn’t be able to without ruining the dress. But honestly, who has time to get all of their clothes hemmed, anyway.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after looking around the site I found quite a few dresses that I was really drawn to. Also, the quality was pretty fab which is always exciting when trying out a new store. Just some of the customization options you have is to make a maxi into a midi or add cap sleeves to a sleeveless dress. Lately, I’ve been making an effort to buy more simple styled clothing that can be styled multiple ways and I was missing a white maxi from my wardrobe, so I was pumped to find this one (and the pockets are awesome), I already have an outfit in mind for it this fall!
