I think it’s hard to categorize a list of kitchen cooking essentials, simply because there are so many items that could be considered essential. However, I’ve been thinking of our new kitchen and there have been a few items that I’m planning on getting right away. These will either elevate a look or make cooking functionality much better, and some will do both!
KitchenAid Matte Black Mixer Bowl – I’ve wanted to change the look of our mixer for awhile without actually buying a new KitchenAid mixer (we have one in the grey color). Once I saw this matte black mixing bowl attachment I knew it would look amazing in our kitchen. Plus it will be nice to have 2 bowls so when baking a lot I won’t have to be washing bowls in between recipes.
Staub Cookware – I have been going back and forth between Staub and Le Creuset for a while, but my friend Bri has me convinced that Staub is the way to go based on how great her experience has been with it. I am very drawn to this dark green color and will likely start with one piece then add from there over time.
Smeg 4-Slice Toaster – We have a smeg refrigerator in our kitchen so I was looking to pick up some matching appliances that will be left out on our counters. Our toaster that we have had for years never really worked well (very inconsistent toasting..) so I am looking forward to getting this new and beautiful toaster!
John Boos Cutting Board/Butcher Blocks – These are supposed to be some of the best cutting boards and butcher blocks on the market! I’ve never really had a higher quality cutting board like this and am looking forward to trying one out. Plus they still look nice being left out on the counter.
White Knife set – I’m still on the fence about this item, but I found this affordable set of knives with good reviews. We’ve had the same set for almost 10 years now but I am on the fence if we should splurge or save on this cooking item!
